Staff Accommodation Refurbishment and Management

We have taken over the ownership and management of the QEH nurses accommodation and undertaken a programme of staff and student accommodation refurbishment to address many years of underinvestment and a significant maintenance backlog. The work provides accommodation to a quality standard in line with current legislative requirements. The accommodation comprises 82 flats capable of housing well over 200 people.

The scheme is undertaken through a 'construction management' scheme with packages of work tendered to smaller local contractors and three blocks are now complete. The refurbishment of the remaining blocks will be completed with staff in occupation over a 3 year period. We will tender each separately to ensure the project stays in budget.
