Described as 'The most energy-efficient GP's surgery ever' by the NHS sustainability watchdog, 'The Shine Network', the Plowright Surgery exceeds all the environmental criteria set by the NHS and also the energy consumption targets making it a cost effective building to run. In 2008 the Surgery won the prestigious CHP LIFT Award for its Sustainable Design. The building utilises materials and design in an efficient way to produce a small carbon footprint and is located within an area where energy supplies are subsidised by sustainable sources.

In addition to its green credentials, the building provides an excellent working environment, enabling the highest levels of patient care.

Accuro provides facilities management (FM) services, delivered under a lease plus arrangement, fully reimbursed by the PCT. Rent is fixed against local and national benchmarks and uplifted in an RPI indexation which is the preferred model for LIFT.
